Sen. Luke Rankin is Gun Owner’s Public Enemy #1
Dear fellow patriot,
I’ve got bad news for you in State Senate District 33.
The bad news is incumbent State Senator Luke Rankin and Democrat Pete Bember REFUSE to return their Palmetto Gun Rights Candidate Survey and go on the record for your Second Amendment rights!.
This comes as no surprise as Senator Luke Rankin has never passed up an opportunity to trample on the Second Amendment in South Carolina.
Senator Luke Rankin has a long-standing list of grievances against gun owners including:
- Refusing to return his Palmetto Gun Rights Candidate Survey and go on the record opposing Illinois-style “Assault Weapons” Bans, so-called “gun-free zones”, or unconstitutional enforcement of federal gun control laws from the Biden administration.
- Voting to KILL pro-gun Constitutional Carry all SIX TIMES time it came up for a vote.
- Wielding his power as Judiciary Chairman to pull underhanded tactics and delaying passage of Constitutional Carry well into 2024.
- Politically attacking Republicans on his Judiciary Committee after some of them refused to help kill Constitutional Carry.
- Sponsoring and pushing “Red Flag Lite” that could have permanently put gun owners on federal lists banning them from buying firearms for life[1].
Senator Luke Rankin has thumbed his nose at gun owners for far too long.
And by refusing to return their PGR Candidate Surveys, Rankin and Bember refuse to go on record against California-style gun bans, which would arbitrarily ban hundreds of types of firearms based solely on cosmetic features.
Rankin and Bember also refuse to pledge to support your right to legally “Stand Your Ground” and defend yourself and your family against armed thugs in the street.
Additionally, Luke Rankin and Pete Bember refuse to go on the record opposing Universal Background Checks, which would not only place an outright ban on private firearms sales but also implement a de facto gun registration scheme on South Carolina gun owners.
As you know, confiscation always follows registration.
Finally, Senator Rankin and challenger Pete Bember refuse to support legislation repealing dangerous “Gun-Free” zones and oppose dangerous “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation laws, which allow government agents to seize legally owned firearms without a hearing or even a crime being committed!

And once you’ve contacted your candidates, please consider donating $100 to Palmetto Gun Rights right away to help us expose even more anti-gun politicians in South Carolina.
Reaching enough people to hold anti-gun politicians accountable is an expensive task, but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s worth it.
So please consider giving at least $75 or $50 right away!
I understand for some that may still be too much to ask, but even $50 or $25 would go a long way in funding the mailers, texts, emails, and hard-hitting social media campaigns needed to put anti-gun politicians on notice.
Whatever you can afford, please know that I am grateful for your commitment to the freedoms we hold so dear.
Remember, politicians of all stripes are listening closely to gun owners with the primary election just around the corner.
